The Benefits of Pallets

In this unstable economy, growth can often cost your organization more money than it can make. When your warehouse becomes overcrowded, you may feel forced to move premises which is something which almost no company can afford to do. Pallet racking can give you a much more cost effective alternative than moving or expansion.

Using this type of storage system can maximise your current space and also increase efficiency of the business. It is also a much cheaper solution than moving premises and can save you time, money and stress.

Storing items on pallets and in a pallet racking structure can help to run the business more efficiently as stock can be easier to get to and there is less space between aisles. This can increase efficiency in the workforce and therefore the business.

Storing on pallets also allows you to store in bulk. If you run the type of business where you order stuff as and when you need it, this can allow you to store in bulk which can mean that you save more money per unit when ordering in bulk.

There are different ways in which you can store your pallets as well to aid your business even more! You can store with a FIFO principle (‘First in first Out’). This means that the first pallet you put onto the system is the first taken out, then the second, then the third etc. This is great if you have stock with an expiry date.

Another method can be the FILO principle. This is ‘First In Last Out’. This means that the first pallet which is put on is the last one which can be accessed or the last pallet out of the rack. This is good if you are storing non-perishable items in bulk.

There are a few different systems which are available but if you give us a call we can evaluate your needs and find out the best solution for you.
