The Pallet Racking People
We had a call from an existing client to discuss a large project that they has starting and wanted us to plan and quote for the pallet racking.
This customer is an Alnwick based manufacturer and distributor of chains and lifting products and has been going since 1892. They wanted to make sure that the system which we would be supplying would only help them with future growth and would have the longevity they needed.
We chose to go with a new PSS pallet racking system. This is a system which can easily be modified and added to over time. It is also easy to replace any parts which may become damaged through general, day to day, wear and tear.
We completed a site visit and then used Auto CAD to send drawings to the customer for approval on layout. Once this was all confirmed we presented a quote and became successful. We then began to organise the delivery and installation of materials.
Within the scope of work we also provided plastic column guards and close boarded timber decking. The materials came from our warehouse and two other suppliers so we had to carefully organise delivery of the items.
We also had to organise the dismantling and re-erection of some existing racking which our customer already had.
Our team of qualified installers, fitted the PSS pallet racking we supplied which consisted of a mixture of 5500mm high x 1200mm deep frames and 7050mm high x 1200mm deep frames. This was all completed with 2700mm beams. The install was completed to our usual high standard and the customer was over the moon with the work.
This project completely transformed our customer’s warehouse and turned out even better than planned. Our client has advised that they won’t hesitate to use us again for any work which may crop up in the future – whether that be repair work to this racking or another large project again!
