The Pallet Racking People
Our client, Crafter’s Companion, came to us in June 2022 seeking a devised storage system of used Link 51 pallet racking for their brand-new, purpose-built warehouse.
Crafter’s Companion is all about striving to ignite the creative spark within the craft community. It all began back in 2005 in the university bedroom of Sara Davies, when a lightbulb moment occurred and a ground-breaking new product was developed to create envelopes and handmade cards.
From then until now, Crafter’s Companion has grown its product range from one revolutionary papercraft tool to thousands of crafting must-haves.
With head offices and warehouses in North East England and California, US, Crafter’s Companion has a team of hardworking staff across the globe. They are a friendly team of people who put the customer at the heart of everything they do.
Therefore, being given the opportunity to work closely with Crafter’s Companion on this project was a real achievement for us all at Advanced Handling & Storage Ltd.
Working with project leads Andrew McDonald and Chris Richards, devising a pallet racking system for their brand-new, purpose-built warehouse was exciting to stay the least.
The warehouse was built to achieve the most pallet locations possible, storing approximately 2,000 pallet locations to date, although not yet fully racked out to its full potential. We still have the room for growth, as and when the need is required.
Using the architects’ drawings and our own on-site checks, we designed the pallet racking layout to suit the customer’s requirements. Utilising used Link 51 pallet racking, in excellent condition, really gave the customer great value for money.
Delivery was completed from our warehouse just up the road in Shildon, County Durham and the installation of the project was completed promptly and on time.
