Column guards, also known as rack protectors or post protectors, are essential safety accessories used in warehouse environments to protect the upright columns of pallet racking systems from damage. These columns are critical to the structural integrity of the racking, and even minor impacts from forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment can compromise their strength, leading to costly repairs, potential rack collapse, or safety hazards.
They are installed at the base of each upright, and are clipped directly onto the upright. Some designs wrap around the column for full coverage, while others provide front-facing protection.
