New venture offers customers the best when it comes to Health and Safety. We are very interested in pallet racking safety and helping prevent accidents.
In order for Advanced Handling and Storage ltd to be able to continue on offering only the best for our clients we have reviewed company policy regarding our Safety Audit Service and have made the decision to join ventures with SESS in order to ensure that all clients are given more options so to make an informed choices when it comes to having their pallet racking and shelving audited. So with this in mind I would like to take this opportunity to confirm with you some points regarding new company policy and the options on the types of audits available to you:
Option 1 – Ours Standard Safety Audit completed to SEMA Guidelines ONLY this is our standard inspection. It involves an Advanced Handling & Storage Inspector attending your premises to carry out an independent inspection and provide a report to SEMA guidelines. This inspection includes an appraisal of the quality of your product and your storage equipment.
During the inspection should anything require immediate remedial action then you will be notified at this time. If this happens you must offload you racking and shelving immediately and have all necessary repairs carried out. Should repairs not be completed then you will be in breach of current health and safety regulations. Advanced Handling can arrange to complete the repairs on your behalf and can provide you with a free no obligation quotation should it be required. You will receive a full report of the inspection which will outline the conclusions and recommendations of the audit together with lay out drawings of the area inspected.
This option of inspection is for guidance and advice only but we do assure you that the inspector carrying out the audit is trained and compliant with current health and safety regulations regarding safe working practices and pallet racking and shelving.
Option 2 – SEMA APPROVED Safety Audit completed to SEMA Regulations We now successfully work in partnership with SESS in order to complete our SEMA Approved Rack Safety Inspections. We arrange for a fully qualified SEMA Inspector to attend your site and carry out an extensive and thorough inspection of your storage material.
Once again, during the inspection should anything require immediate remedial action then you will be notified at this time. Your equipment will be required to be off loaded and a 4 week period for all necessary repair work to be completed. Please remember that it is your responsibility as a company to ensure that the repairs are completed, should repairs not be completed then you will be in breach of current health and safety regulations.
We will then provide you with a full comprehensive report and guidance notes on what requires attention and indeed repair. Using all this information we will effectively gather together and produce a quotation for all necessary work / or any additional pallet racking that may be needed. This inspection is fully regulated by SEMA who are the British Trade Association for the storage industry.
