We wanted to give an insight to some of the members of the Advanced Handling & Storage team, so you can get to know us all a little better.

This month we’re going to start with Robert Adams, our Sales Consultant.

What sort of duties do you have at work?

“Taking enquiries, quoting out jobs on CRM, working on hitting targets and second hand sales, mentoring colleagues on quotations, and educating them on the products well.”

Who or what inspires you?

“My family gives me motivation to work hard every day – my 5-year-old son Josh and wife Ellen.”

What is the best place you’ve travelled to?

“Mexico for my honeymoon and Las Vegas is a close second.”

What is the most exciting part of your job?

“Helping customers with their needs, requirements, and knowing our services have helped them in their business development.”

What is something you are proud of?

“My job position and family.”

Do you have any pets?

“None.”

Are you a coffee or tea person?

“Neither. I drink mostly water (athlete!).”

What is something you find challenging at work?

“Working out the best designs for warehouse racking but I love the challenge.”

What is one thing you are really good at and one thing you are really bad at?

“Really good at golf. Really bad at cooking.”

What is your favourite TV show and favourite movie?

“TV shows would be Sopranos, Game of Thrones, and Peaky Blinders. Favourite movie would be The Godfather.”

Have you ever met anyone famous?

“No, but I’ve sat close to Arnold Schwarzenegger in MGM in Las Vegas.”

What is your favourite memory?

“My since passed mother holding my son in hospital when he was born.”

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

“Footballer, golfer, physiotherapist.”

Can you speak more than one language?

“No.”

What is your favourite season?

“Spring.”

What is your biggest fear?

“Drowning or burning.”

How would your friends describe you?

“Funny, sarcastic, hot headed (at times), and tanned god! :)”

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

“Head of Sales at Advanced Handling & Storage with a team working with me.”

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

“Night owl.”

What is your idea of a perfect day?

“8am start, a full days round of golf at my local club in Newton Aycliffe.”
