The Pallet Racking People
A long standing customer of ours made an initial enquiry in June 2020 for a large amount of second hand pallet racking to transform their warehouse into the most efficient space for them.
They are a manufacturer of vehicle trim products so where looking for a higher than average capacity beam load to accommodate their needs.
After completing a site visit, a drawing was produced and then quoted on to ensure maximum efficiency was reached. A layout was offered which consisted of 83 bays. The configuration was 2 single runs of 9 bays. 1 single run of 11 bays and 3 double runs of 9 bays. We also included guide rail with lead-ins on each end as they are using handling equipment which allows for a narrow aisle layout and therefore ultimate storage space.
The great quality, second hand, Apex pallet racking that we installed was 6000mm high x 1100mm deep frames and 2700mm x 2500kgs UDL beams. We also installed two anti-collapse mesh screens, 6 safe working load notices and column guards for all the frames which was to ensure maximum protection of the racking.
While the installation was happening on, we made site visits to keep an eye on things and to keep customer satisfaction to the maximum.
At the end of the installation, the customer was more than happy with the outcome of the project. They have another warehouse which they will have the same racking in very shortly because the solution was just that effective!
